If you are an independant healthcare provider, social media has created an opportunity for you to get on the same playing field as the big boys. Even if you are a smaller clinic, you now are able to go head to head with the larger offices. The onset of the internet and social media marketing has done this for you.
Not only are you able to compete, but you can do it at significantly less cost! So, why would you not use this to your advantage. The main reason I see is fear of the unknown. For many offices, this can create an overwhelming fear since they don't have a good idea on what to do. So instead, they do NOTHING. Big mistake!
You see, your internet presence and your social media presence is like saving for retirement. The sooner you start, the more beneift you receive down the road. In other words, it provides a cumulative effect. It continues to grow larger and larger with time.
There is some learning to be done (that's a given with anything new). But, with the proper blueprint, you can certainly become a force to be reckoned with in your area. THis is why social media becomes the great equalizer.
So what are some of the important areas you'll need to know? Well, certainly you will need to understand how to use sites like Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. You'll have to know how to implement this process into your already busy day (it can easily be done with the proper techniques). You'll also have to know how to merge your offline marketing with your online marketing plans.
These are just a few of the processes that once learned, can amount to significant increase in your practive volume…and I mean significant increases for some.
So, before you decide that social media marketing isn't for you. Before you write it off as being too hard. Think about the fact that anything worth doing takes some work. The good news for this story is that it is work that is easily accomplished with the right tools.
